ABOUTTHE ARTIST NALL& THENALL INSTITUTE

Nall was born and raised in Troy, Alabama, and drew from the time he was a little boy. What started in a small Southern town eventually carried him halfway around the world. He continued his education at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he studied under Salvador Dalí.

Over the years his work took him to museums, galleries, and public spaces across Europe and the United States. He painted, sculpted, designed opera sets, and created mosaics - always believing art could bring people together. But no matter where he traveled, Alabama remained home, and the heart behind everything he made.

Remembering Nall

Nall's life was filled with wonderful stories, and many of them — along with the people he met — inspired his work. Explore the moments, memories, and inspirations behind his creations. He often said these stories meant as much to him as the art itself, calling each piece one of his "art babies," each one carrying a little piece of his heart.

CuratedExhibitions

Few things warmed Nall's heart more than bringing people together through art — pairing his work with that of talented friends, then watching those collections travel from one community to the next.

Here you'll find exhibitions ready to travel to galleries, museums, and cultural centers, with new shows added as they come together. If you'd like to welcome one to your community, reach out to a member of the team — they'll help you find the right show and make you feel right at home.

A-EYE NALL

Come on into my virtual studio and let's draw your portrait. Bring me a face, yours, a friend's, someone you love, and we'll make something worth hanging. When we're done, we'll pick out a frame for it.

And don't be shy, go right ahead and ask me anything. I'd love to hear from you, and I'll do my very best to respond personally. Whether it's about my artwork, an exhibition, a commission, or just to say hello, I'm always glad to make a new friend.
